Routines model life according to more or less regular phases of activity and passivity. Living beings generally oscillate with the rhythms of their environment until sudden deviations disrupt this flow. In her mixed-media installation and performance series Light injuries, Marta Beauchamp explores possible breaking points in this natural balance based on the damage that light causes to plants and animals when the natural day-night rhythm is thrown out of kilter. The exhibition translates the results of selected scientific publications into expansive and participatory structures that make it possible to experience the common oscillation in changing environments in a sensory way.
