The “Museum Nordwestbahnhof”, its outposts and artistic interventions on the site of the Nordwestbahnhof, which is now being demolished, document the diverse history(ies) of the area and erect publicly visible signs of remembrance that should find permanent locations in the new urban development area. As the museum’s sponsor, Tracing Spaces sees its practice not as an interim use but as an initiative to consolidate basic cultural work for the operation of a future low-threshold cultural and neighborhood center that creates a sense of identity.
