From 2016-2023, the artist Christoph Srb worked as a housing supervisor in Viennese emergency shelters for the homeless. The emergency shelter diaries were created in the course of this work. In them, Christoph Srb set himself the task of creating a drawing for each of his services.

In May 2025, Christoph Srb presented the resulting publication “Schlaflos gezeichnet” at the Vienna Secession (https://secession.at/buchpraesentation_christoph_srb)

The subsequent exhibition in the LLLLLL artist run space shows the original drawings on which this publication is based & of course the printed book itself.

Schlaflos gezeichnet is not a typical artist catalog publication, but an artistic exploration of the topic of homelessness, the conditions that make people homeless and their own experiences.

Christoph Srb studied painting under Johanna Kandl at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and is a co-founder of the LLLLLL artist run space.
