In the exhibition, the artists Francesco Del Conte, Johnny Linder, Bernd Oppl, Sandra Schubert, Yuki Tawada & Fuku Fukumoto, Dora Tishmann and Stig Marlon Weston deal with phenomena, emotional states and shifts in perception evoked by darkness - and its antithesis, light. In this space of transformation, fiction and reality, visibility and invisibility, threat and poetry collide. Ephemeral processes and the unconscious are made visible in the works. Memories emerging from the subconscious play a role in many of the works. By experimenting with the media of photography and film, the artists arrive at innovative solutions: On the basis of specially developed processes, scientific phenomena such as light pollution are visualized, the manifestation of electricity is achieved in the form of photograms or the ashes of burnt photographs are incorporated into the glaze of vessels.
